Dr. Dana Copot is a Senior Postdoctoral Fellow at Ghent University. She earned her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering in 2018, focusing on modeling and control of physiological systems, which led to the development of the ANSPEC-PRO pain assessment device, validated in clinical trials.
Her research bridges control engineering and industrial practice, with a focus on digital twins and advanced control strategies for continuous pharmaceutical manufacturing, supporting the shift from Quality by Design (QbD) to Quality by Control (QbC).
Dr. Copot has co-authored over 120 peer-reviewed publications, received the 2017 IEEE Best Paper Award, and has been involved in several international research projects. She is also active in education, mentoring students and co-organizing events such as IBCE 2024, fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
